For the Laboratory for Catalysis and Sustainable Chemistry (LSK) we are looking for a

Scientist in theoretical chemistry

Description

  • Develop and maintain a research program in theory of catalysts and catalytic processes

  • Conduct density functional calculations of catalytic reactions on surfaces

  • Investigate molecular dynamics of reactions at solid-gas and solid-liquid interfaces

  • Presentation of research results on conferences and publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals

Requirements

You hold a PhD in theoretical chemistry, materials science or physics with an interest in chemistry. Experience in applying state-of-the-art theoretical methods to understand catalysts and the catalytic process is required. In addition, you show an active interest in theoretical method development. You have the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and you have excellent communication skills in English and/or German.
