1/ Position overview

The Walker School of Business and Technology (WSBT) of Webster University Geneva is seeking applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor position in “Computer Science” beginning on September 1, 2016. The position is based in Webster University Geneva, Switzerland. The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence through peer-reviewed publications, and must possess a good track record in teaching. The position calls for someone with knowledge in information technology able to develop the following areas: cyber security, and business analytics. Ideally, the successful candidate should be an expert in one of these areas. He or she should be able to efficiently collaborate with colleagues. He or she will be asked to interact with the local business eco-system. He or she will have a central role to play as Head of the Geneva Computer Science department, including advising students in these domains.

2/ Essential duties and Responsibilities

- Teach courses at undergraduate level in Computer Science and cybersecurity if possible

- Publish in peer-reviewed journals

- Contribute to the development of high-quality programs and courses in his/her field of expertise

- Drive the launch of the cyber security program

- Participate in the university institutional life (internal / external)

- Cooperate with the Head of the Mathematics and Computer Science at St-Louis campus

Requirements

3/ Qualifications

- PhD in Computer Science or a related field

- Publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals

- A proven ability to deliver excellent teaching

- English fluency
