Postdoctoral position: Tumor immunology and head and neck cancer

Position description:

A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the area of tumor immunology and biology. The position is in the laboratory of Prof. Pedro Romero within the Translational Tumor Immunology Group of the Ludwig Center for Cancer Research of the University of Lausanne (LICRUNIL), in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Candidates are sought to join a basic and translational research program focused on targeted therapy combining radiotherapy and immunotherapy to treat head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.

Research focus :

The present research will focus on the characterization of tumor microenvironment and anti-tumor responses after combined immune and radiotherapy of head and neck tumor-bearing mice in both neo-adjuvant and adjuvant settings.

Requirements :

The ideal candidates must have a PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or Tumor Immunology or M.D. degree. Solid knowledge of cancer cell biology and strong experiences of assaying different types of immune cells by immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and flow cytometry are mandatory. In addition, experience in mouse work and confocal microscopy is required.

Candidates must have proficiency in oral and written English, excellent communication, and multi-tasking skills, and be team-oriented, proactive and results driven.
