The Faculty of Sciences of the University of Geneva invites applications for the position of “ Our department is one of the oldest molecular biology departments in the world, where restriction enzymes were discovered and where bacteriophage were first visualized by some of the first electron microscopes. The research activities of the Department of Molecular Biology address several important areas of molecular and cellular biology.” | |
Description This full-time position will involve undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the broad field of molecular biology, as well as supervising Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Theses. The appointed professor will undertake research at the highest national and international levels and secure external funding. Research topic is open to the general field of Molecular Biology but those addressing important biological questions using electron microscopy are particularly encouraged to apply. He/She will also take up administrative and organizational duties within the Department of Molecular Biology, the Section of Biology, and the Faculty of Sciences.

Requirements PhD degree or equivalent, strong postdoctoral research experience and publication record in leading international journals.
