Your Mission

The Swiss Seismological Service (SED) at ETH is looking for an enthusiastic

The activities of the SED are integrated in the federal program for earthquake risk reduction.

The core duties of the research scientist include: improving regional ground-motion prediction equations for earthquakes by including realistic sources and complex structural models, the development of stochastic methods and models to describe uncertainties. The successful candidate will be part of a team dedicated to engineering seismology.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Seismology, Physics, Geophysics, Engineering Seismology or a related Engineering discipline with strong background in physics, and experience in stochastic simulations of ground motion, ground-motion prediction equations, and in engineering seismology.
