The Spiez Laboratory and the Institute of Microbiology of the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) offer a postdoctoral fellow position in virology/immunology. In the frame of the international network VSV-EBOPLUS, Spiez Laboratory is participating in the evaluation of the immune response in volunteers receiving the Ebola-vaccine VSV-ZEBOV. Work place: Spiez Laboratory, Austrasse, 3700 Spiez

Description

Activities will include analysis of vaccine sera, development of alternative methods for the measurement of vaccine-related immune responses, the participation in further research projects on highly pathogenic viruses as well as supporting the virology team in establishing diagnostic protocols and in tasks related to the maintenance of the BSL4 lab. We offer a stimulating environment enabling successful candidates to participate in the core tasks of Spiez Laboratory aiming at the identification and characterization of risk group 3 and 4 pathogens.
