The Department of genetics and evolution at the University of Geneva offers a highly dynamic and stimulating research environment. It is renowned for its interdisciplinary research, which associates genetics, development and evolution.

The Department is opening a position of Associate or Full professor in the field of genetics, development and evolution . This is a full-time position.

Description

Duties include teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and the supervision of master and doctoral theses.

The successful candidate will develop a research program at the highest international level and secure external funding. We expect the use of the most advanced techniques to lead a creative and original research. The candidate may be recruited on a research theme currently developed by the department, but not necessarily.

The candidate will have to fulfill management and organizational duties within the Department of Genetics and Evolution and the Faculty.

Requirements

  • PhD degree or equivalent.
  • Publication in high-ranked peer reviewed international journals.
  • Experience in the management of a research group and in teaching are mandatory.
