Research Assistant / Postdoc for Synthesis of Polymeric Nanoparticles

to start immediately for a 12 month contract.

Description

In this position you will have the opportunity to greatly expand your competences and apply your creativity by working in the following areas:
  • Development of novel functional polymeric nano-/microparticles for application in ion chromatography together with our industrial partner
  • Synthesis of functional Janus nanoparticles with application as surfactants and in devices
  • Involvement in writing proposals and acquisition of new projects
  • Publish in high impact factor journals

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a PhD degree in the field of Chemistry and must bring competences from the following areas:
  • Polymer chemistry
  • Nanoparticle synthesis and surface modification by ATRP, RAFT, etc.
  • Interfacial science

The candidate should also have a strong motivation to write publications / proposals as well as willingness and flexibility to perform fundamental research but also work in joint development projects with industrial partners. Good knowledge of both English and German is an advantage.
